It is not entirely unthinkable that, after reading the numerous stories  on offer here, you’re asking: will Jan Jacob Mekes write some for me? Astonishingly, the answer is yes. You can of course submit a prompt to me and get a pretty cool story for yourself, but… what about a truly original, one of a kind gift?

I’m talking about bespoke fiction. Suppose you have a friend named Joe. Joe is getting married. You want to warn him against the dangers of marriage, but you don’t know how. Enter me. I’ll write a story for you, featuring Joe in the most absurd situations after his marriage. Of course, if you just want a story to congratulate Joe on his magnificent decision, that’s possible too, and all for a reasonable fee!
